Handling Your Headpiece
Our headpieces are lightweight yet intricately constructed. To maintain their shape:
Handle with clean, dry hands, avoiding any bending or reshaping of the wires. Do not crush, fold, or place heavy objects on top. Gently secure the piece into the hair using appropriate pins as needed, and if minor adjustments are required after transit, reshape very carefully and minimally to maintain its form.
Avoid Perfume & Hair Products
To protect the materials and finish of your headpiece:
Chemicals and sprays can weaken fine fabrics and may cause tarnishing or discolouration over time.
Do not apply perfume, hairspray, or styling products directly onto the piece. Apply all hair products first and allow them to fully dry before placing your headpiece, and avoid any contact with oils, lotions, or moisture to keep it in perfect condition.
For white or light-coloured headpieces:
Refreshing & Maintaining White Pieces
Occasionally allow the piece to air out in natural sunlight to refresh the fabric, ensuring it is placed in a clean, dry area while airing, and avoid leaving it in prolonged or harsh heat.
A gentle refresh in the sun can help maintain brightness and prevent natural discolouration.
Storage
When not being worn, we recommend:
Store your headpiece in its original Ash and Silver packaging, keeping it in a cool, dry space away from humidity, and ensure it is stored separately to avoid tangling or pressure damage.
After wearing, allow your headpiece to air out before placing it back into storage. This helps preserve both the structure and fabric over time.
